Also, come on, congress.

Short newsletter today, folks! Here we go:

“How I tripled my weekly writing output”

One of the ways Overthink Group keeps the lights on is by writing content for our clients. And Ryan, one of our writers, is a content superstar. When we hired him a year ago, he was writing about 3,000 words a week. Not too shabby.

But now, he writes about 10,000 words every week! This includes work for clients as well as some of the long-form pieces you’ll find on the Overthink blog. (Like our article on RankBrain.)

You might read that and think—wait, HOW MANY WORDS? HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

(The number surprised me, too.)

We figured other content marketers might want to know how he so drastically increased his writing output in just a year. So Ryan wrote all his methods down—enjoy!

Congress. Why you do this?

First it was funny.

Then it was sad.

Then it was funny.

Then it was just please-please-please-make-it-stop.

You know what I’m talking about: Mark Zuckerberg’s congressional hearing. For two days (and what felt like two years) Senators grilled Zuck on the workings (or not workings) of the social network. To say they were uninformed about how Facebook (and indeed, much of the Internet) works is an understatement.

Politico has a good summary of what went down in Washington last week—you should check it out.

Stay strategic, friends! I’ll see you next week. =)
